Dear Family and Friends,
After much thought and reflection, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our wedding, which was planned for September 21, 2024. We wanted to reach out personally to share our reasons and to express our deep gratitude for your understanding.
Recently, we received some news that has profoundly impacted our family. My beloved sister, Aaylla, has been diagnosed with breast cancer and is already undergoing treatment. Unfortunately in the last few weeks, her condition has worsened and she now requires immediate medical attention. She will need surgery as soon as possible. For those of you who know me well, and for those who may not, my sister means the world to me. After losing our parents and then our dear uncle and aunt who were our caretakers, Aaylla has been my rock, my family, my everything. It is so important to me that she be by my side when we celebrate our marriage, and right now, she cannot. Her health and well-being are our top priority.
Given the circumstances, it does not feel right to celebrate without her by our side. However, we still plan to legally marry in the following month, contingent on Aaylla's health plan.
We hope you will understand our decision to postpone. We remain committed to celebrating with all of you in the coming year, God willing, when Aaylla is well enough to join us. We will reschedule the wedding when the time is right, and we will share those details with you as soon as we can. In the meantime, we ask for your prayers and well wishes for Aaylla as she fights this battle. Your support means more to us than words can express, and we are so thankful for each and every one of you who has been there for us throughout this journey and our relationship.
Thank you for your love, your kindness, and your understanding. We look forward to celebrating together in the future when we can all be present, in body and spirit, for this special day.
With all our love and gratitude,
Saad & Faith
